It’s safe to say that Taegan was quite literally born on a horse, as her mother went into labor with Taegan while on top of a pony while teaching a lesson. Taegan is a tremendous asset to the Equine Education Foundation, and has learned from a very early age how strong the love and devotion of the animals can be in the therapeutic process.
Taegan is an extremely accomplished rider in her own right, having won several National Championships and awards all across the country in both Equitation and Jumpers. As for working with the EEF, Taegan is every bit as passionate as her mother. “It’s amazing to see the transformation our riders have been able to make after being involved with the program. I love to make that connection with them, and watch them face their fears and realize that they can do anything they set their minds to, just like anyone else. To see them open up is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced.”
